NOTE
Software cannot be updated in the following circumstances.
• Out of the service area
• During international roaming
• Airplane mode
We recommend that you update software without moving and when you have strong
reception (4 wave-level bars).
※ If the reception deteriorates during a software update or the download is stopped, move
to a location with a better reception and start the software update again.
● Updating via microSD card using a PC
1 Access the manufacturer's site (MEDIAS NAVI) using a PC,
and retrieve the software for updating to a microSD card.
• For details, visit manufacturer's website (MEDIAS NAVI) at http://www.medias.net/.
2 Insert the microSD card with the retrieved software to the
FOMA terminal.
3 From the Home screen, m → "Settings" → "About phone" →
"Major updates" → "Update now" → "Updates by SD card".
• Follow the instructions on the screen.
Checking whether a software update is required
● Periodically checking whether an update is required
1 From the Home screen, m → "Settings" → "About phone" →
"Major updates" → "Auto update".
• Mark the checkbox.
● Immediately checking whether an update is required
1 From the Home screen, m → "Settings" → "About phone" →
"Major updates" → "Confirmation of update".
