Making/Receiving Calls
Making a call
You can use the FOMA terminal to make
international calls and emergency calls, as
well as standard calls. You can also enter a
pause when using automated phone services,
such as reserving tickets or checking your
bank balance.
Making a call
1 From the Home screen, .
2 Enter the phone number →
.
If you enter a wrong number, tap to
delete the number.
NOTE
Touch and hold "1" on the phone number
input screen to make a voice call to 1417
(voice mail service).
Entering a push tone (pause)
1 From the Home screen, .
2 Enter the phone number, m
→ "Add 2-sec pause" or "Add
wait pause".
"P" or "W" is displayed after the phone
number.
3 Enter the menu number of
the service to use → .
Making an emergency call
1 From the Home screen, .
2 Input an emergency number,
110 (police), 119
(firehouse/ambulance), or
118 (Japan Coast Guard) →

NOTE
When you have set PIN lock and Airplane
mode, you need to release PIN lock to make
an emergency call.
When you have locked the screen, you can
make an emergency call without drawing
screen unlock pattern and entering PIN
code for each screen. On each screen, tap
"Emergency call". The "Emergency call"
screen appears; you can make phone calls
only to the emergency phone numbers.
