• The "PIN1 setting" screen appears.
3 "PIN1 code entry set"
• The "Lock SIM card" screen appears.
4 Enter the PIN1 code and tap
"OK".
• You are asked to enter the PIN1 code
when the FOMA terminal is powered on.
● Changing the PIN code
Enable PIN beforehand when changing PIN
code.
1 From the Home screen, m
→ "Settings" → "Location &
security".
2 "PIN setting"
• The "PIN1 setting" screen appears.
3 "Change SIM PIN"
• The "SIM PIN" screen appears, and you
are prompted to enter the PIN code.
4 Enter the current PIN code,
and tap "OK".
• You are prompted to enter the PIN
code in the "SIM PIN" screen.
5 Enter the new PIN code, and
tap "OK".
• You are prompted to enter the PIN
code again in the "SIM PIN" screen.
6 Enter the same PIN code
that was entered in Step 5,
and tap "OK".
NOTE
The default setting for the PIN code is
"0000".
● Entering the PIN code
Perform the following operations if you are
asked to enter the PIN code when the FOMA
terminal is powered on.
1 Enter the PIN code of the
UIM, and tap "OK".
● Unblocking the PUK locked UIM
When the message telling that SIM card
locked by PUK is displayed, perform the
following operations.
1 "Emergency call"
2 Enter " 05 [PUK
code] [new PIN
code] [new PIN code]#"
• For example, to change the UIM PIN
code to "2580" when the PUK code is
"88888888", enter
" 05 88888888 2580 2580#"
