The optional Cat. No. 778 card has four pairs of AES inputs, the first of which
provides a single digital bitstream input (Dolby Digital), or up to eight channels of
digital PCM audio input. The card provides eight channels of digital audio outputs
while supporting the Dolby Digital Surround EX audio format. With this card
installed, all output channel level trims default to 127 to allow for the proper gain
structure. The analog outputs of the CP650 are muted when a Cat. No. 778 card is
installed. All audio outputs are digital.
