7.1 Temperature Control Tips
The SOLO7 Transmitters can get very hot, therefore, it is worth noting some configurations and
environmental conditions that can help mitigate any temperature concerns.
Note: The FPGA temperature can be monitored as a colour coded scheme on the Domo Device Controller
primary window or from the Advanced>Unit tab to monitor the actual temperature in °C of the on-board
FPGA device, see
section 5.4.3

1. Use a heatsinking plate, thermal conductivity will help draw heat from the SOLO7 Transmitter case.
2. Lower the Output power if operational conditions allow, see
Section 5.5.2

3. Switch Linearity mode to Low power, if operational conditions allow, see
Section 5.5.2
.
4. Change the video encoder format to MPEG4 ASP if operational conditions allow, see
Section 5.7.2
