3.2 Open lid detection: If the Pit temperature has already reached the target
temperature, and drop more than 25% below the preset temperature, this may be
caused by the lid opened. The controller will beep and phone will receive the alert.
3.3 Fire detection: If the Pit temperature increases more than 25% hgiher the preset
temperature, this may be caused by the fire or other conditions. The controller will
beep and phone will receive the high temperature alert.
3.4 Meat Alarms
3.4.1 If Meat 1 temperature reaches the target temperature, the controller will beep
and phone will receive the alert.
3.4.2 If Meat 2 temperature reaches the target temperature, the controller will beep
and phone will receive the alert.
3.4.3 If Meat 3 temperature reaches the target temperature, the controller will beep
and phone will receive the alert.
Probe Placement
1 Place Meat 1, Meat 2 or Meat 3 Probe in the thickest part of meat.
2 Place Pit probe in center of cook chamber. Adjust placement as necessary.
Note: Fully insert the probes into ATC-3. Each probe has an LED indicator next to it. If
a probe is plugged into the jack and the LED does not light up, this may indicate that
the probe is damaged. May need to consider to replace the probe.
FAN Control Specification
1 The 35 cfm variable speed fan is capable of supporting most small and medium sized
pits. Fan speed will vary based on temperature proximity to the set point.
2 When the current Pit temperature is lower than the preset Pit temperature, the
variable speed fan will automatically turn on. Use of a charcoal starter is
recommended for quicker and more balanced starts.
3 When the current Pit temperature is higher than the preset temperature, the fan will
shut off.
4 The smart PID algorithm makes sure the temperature does not spike above set point,
and maintain the temperature accurately.
