Monitor uses encrypted transmission over FCC managed
frequencies. Always remember to password protect your
Wi-Fi router.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
VENTILATION: DO NOT block ventilation openings. DO NOT place on a bed,
sofa, rug or similar surface. DO NOT place in a book case or cabinet that may
restrict airow.
HEAT: The Monitor should be situated away from heat sources such as radia-
tors, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances that produce heat. Also keep
these components out of direct sunlight.
POWER CORD PROTECTION: The power supply cord should be routed so that
it is not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against it. Pay
particular attention to the cord at the plug, convenience receptacle, and at the
point it exits from the Monitor.
It is essential to check reception regularly.

NEVER charge battery with unit unattended. Keep away from
flammable surfaces during charging.
Battery should only get slightly warm during charging. If
the battery becomes hot, smokes or gives off an odor during
charging, STOP charging immediately and contact the manu-
facturer.
Set Up
Plug In Camera
Connect the longer micro USB power cable with power adapter to camera’s port.
Plug the power adapter into a suitable wall socket.
Wait for the Camera LED to blink purple.
Audio Parent Unit
Connect the shorter micro USB power cable to the port of the audio parent unit.
Plug the USB side of the power cable into any suitable adapter, laptop or other
electronic device and charge fully before using it.
Press the power button to turn the unit on.
Wait for the audio Parent Unit LED on the power button to blink blue.
Install Smart App Download the Safety1

in any browser on your
smart device.
Note: If you already use the Safety1

App, make sure that you are using the latest
version. To nd out if an update is available, review the settings within the app or go to

Setup In your smart device, follow the screens in the Safety1

App for setup at

Resetting Camera and Parent Unit
If you have Camera and Parent Unit setup issues, then the Camera and Parent Unit may
need to be reset.
If you received your camera and Parent Unit from a friend/family or other third party
the camera and Parent Unit should be removed from their account before attempting to
setup the camera and Parent Unit with your account
Please reset the Camera and Parent Unit with the following procedures:
1. Find a paperclip or similar tool.
2. Insert the tool straight into the reset button hole.
3. The button will compress and you will hear a subtle click
4. Hold the button down for at least 3 seconds.
5. Release the button and wait for the camera to reboot.
6. The process is complete when the light is solid red.
7. You can add your Camera and Parent Unit again by following the steps within
the app.
Using your Baby Monitor

Position Baby Monitor
Wall Mount
1. Mark the location on the wall where the camera will be
mounted.
2. Using a 3/16” drill bit drill a hole 1.0” (2.54 cm) deep.
3. Insert drywall anchor into hole. Lightly tap with a hammer
if necessary until the drywall anchor is flush with the
wall surface.
4. Using a screwdriver, hand screw a screw into the
drywall anchor leaving approximately 0.25” (0.63
cm) sticking out.
5. Insert the key hole on the base of the camera onto
the screw on the widest part.
6. Slide the camera DOWN on the screw locking the
camera into place. DO NOT slide the camera UP as
this will result in the camera falling off of the wall.
7. Use the provided wall clips to position and secure the cord 3 ft (0.9 m) away from
the crib. Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4 to place the wall anchors into the wall. Place each
wall anchors 2 ft (0.61 m) apart.
8. Place cords into the wall clips and pull tightly to align wall clip hole to wall anchor.
9.
Close the top cover to secure the cord in place and insert provided screw and tighten
into wall anchor.

1. Determine camera location keeping the camera at least 3 ft (0.9 m) away from crib.
The Camera should be placed on aat surface, such as a chest of drawers, desk or
shelf.
2. Use the provided wall clips to position and secure the cord 3 ft (0.9 m) away from
the crib.

App Upgrade
You cannd the latest version of Safety1
st
App by visiting your mobile device’s app
store (e.g.: iTunes App Store, Google Play). From there, you can see what’s new with
the app and install the latest version.
Occasionally, Safety1
st
will send you notications that a newer version of the Safety1
st
app is now available. While some of the upgrades simply keep your system running
efciently, some are critical to system functionality. We strongly recommend that you
complete the upgrade as soon as possible. Software upgrades will only be performed
in Wi-Fi mode.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
Check the Wi-Fi signal strength from your internet service provider.
To avoid signal interference or echoes, ensure that there is enough distance between
your device and the Camera. Use of other 2.4GHz products, such as Bluetooth systems
or microwave ovens, may cause interference with this product. Also avoid placement
near major electrical equipment, large metal or concrete objects or walls. Keep the
Camera at least 5 ft (1.5 m) away from these types of products, or turn them off if they
appear to be causing interference.
Troubleshooting
A blinking red light on your camera indicates that your unit is disconnected from Wi-Fi.
Check your Wi-Fi connection.

Dorel Juvenile Group will replace or repair (at our option) your unit free of charge
from 12 months from the date of purchase if the unit is defective in workmanship
or materials. To make a claim, contact Consumer Care at 1-800-544-1108 or text
us at 812-566-2525 within one year of purchase from an authorized retailer. Please
be prepared to validate proof of purchase with your claim In the absence of a
purchase receipt, the warranty will be considered 12 months from the date of prod-
uct manufacture. This warranty does not apply to normal wear or damage from
misuse, abuse, improper storage and handling, installation, accident, unauthorized
repair or alteration, tampering, contact with liquid, water, rain, extreme humidity,

Baby Monitor Care
Cleaning
Clean product with a slightly damp cloth or with an anti-static cloth. Never use
cleaning agents or abrasive solvents.
Do not clean any part of the product with thinners or other solvents and chemicals
- this may cause permanent damage to the product which is not covered by the
warranty.
Keep product away from hot, humid areas or strong sunlight, and do not let it get
wet. Every effort has been made to ensure high standards of reliability of your prod-
uct. However, if something does go wrong, please do not try to repair it yourself
- contact Customer Service for assistance.
Disposal
At the end of the product life cycle, you should not dispose of this product with
normal household waste. Take this product to a collection point for
the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
Batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly.
Some of the product materials can be re-used if you take them to a
recycling point. By reusing some parts or raw materials from used products you
make an important contribution to the protection of the environment.
Please contact your recycling center in case you need more information on the
collection points in your area.
