pacemakers:
•Shouldalwayskeepthephonemorethan15cmfromtheirpacemakerwhen
thephoneisturnedon.
•Shouldnotcarrythephoneinabreastpocket.
•Shouldusetheearoppositethepacemakertominimizethepotentialfor
interference.
Ifyouhaveanyreasontosuspectthatinterferenceistakingplace,turnthephone
offimmediately.
Areaswithexplosionrisk
Alwaysturnofftheunitwhenyouareinanareawherethereisariskofexplosion.
Followallsignsandinstructions.Thereisariskofexplosioninplacesthatinclude
areaswhereyouarenormallyrequestedtoturnoffyourcarengine.Intheseareas,
sparkscancauseexplosionorrewhichcanleadtopersonalinjuryorevendeath.
Turnofftheunitatllingstations,andanyotherplacethathasfuelpumpsand
autorepairfacilities.
Followtherestrictionsthatapplytotheuseofradioequipmentnearplaceswhere
fuelisstoredandsold,chemicalfactoriesandplaceswhereblastingisinprogress.
Areaswithriskforexplosionareoften–butnotalways–clearlymarked.Thisalso
appliestobelowdecksonships;thetransportorstorageofchemicals;vehiclesthat
useliquidfuel(suchaspropaneorbutane);areaswheretheaircontainschemicals
orparticles,suchasgrain,dustormetalpowder.
