English Installation Connection . Connect mains adapter and phone cable to wall sockets. 2. Insert batteries (1.2V NiMH AAA) in accordance with the markings. . English Battery When the batteries are relatively new (less than 6 months) and fully-charged (10 hours) they will last for approx 100 hours standby time or approx 10 hours call time. Full battery capacity will not be reached until the batteries have been charged 4–5 times. It is not possible to overcharge or damage the batteries by charging them for ”too long”. It may take up to 5 minutes charging before display illuminates, if batteries are totally empty.
English Range The telephone’s range depends on whether or not the radio waves carrying the call are restricted by obstacles in their path, and is usually between 50 and 300 metres. Coverage can be improved by turning one’s head so that the handset is aligned with the base unit. Sound quality declines as the limit is reached until the call is finally interrupted. The 6 symbol is shown when the phone is within range and goes out/flashes when it is out of range.
English Operation Making a call . Enter the required number. Delete if necessary with right menu button C. 2. Press q to make the call. Press L to end the call. Note! To switch between handset/speaker press . In speaker mode, you cannot both speak at once – you must take it in turns to talk. When batteries are really low the speaker phone and backlight will not work in order to save the batteries. Receiving a call . Wait for the handset to ring. 2. Press q to answer. Press L to end the call.
English Phonebook You can save 20 numbers/names. If you subscribe to a caller ID service, the name allocated to the caller in the phonebook will be shown for incoming calls. It is possible to choose between various ringers for the numbers saved in the Phonebook (only functions if you subscribe to a caller ID service). Save name/number in handset Press b. Press . English Incoming numbers/Caller ID The display shows you who is calling and the 10 most recent missed calls. NEW CALLS will be shown in standby mode and in the list indicates a missed call. English Register a new handset All handsets included in the package are already registered to the base unit. Only for separate handsets/service measures. You can register up to 6 handsets to one base unit. Note! This model is GAP (Generic Access Profile) compatible, which means that the handset and the base unit can both be used with most other GAP compatible units irrespective of manufacturer. However the GAP protocol cannot guarantee that all functions may be accessed.
English Outgoing message The outgoing message (max 3 min) is heard by incoming calls. There are two separate outgoing messages, one for Answer only (callers cannot leave a message) and one for normal answering function. Please also select desired answer function. See TAM Settings. English Out of memory The memory has room for up to 59 messages (including the outgoing message) max. 15 minutes depending on the compression you set. When TAM FULL is shown or the base unit flashes FF, no new messages can be recorded until the old ones have been played back and deleted. In that case, the telephone answer machine responds with the outgoing message for Answer Only. Note! Remember to delete messages regularly! Answer machine settings . 2. . 4. Press . Scroll to ANS. English Remote activation The answer machine can be activated via the remote access functions. . 2. . 4. 5. Call the answer machine. It will answer after approximately 10 rings. Press * when the outgoing message is played. Enter the PIN code, see Answer machine Settings. One beep confirms correct code. Press 7. Replace the handset. Remote access The unit can be remotely accessed using an ordinary tone dialling telephone. . 2. . 4. 5. Call the answer machine.
English Troubleshooting Check that the telephone cord is undamaged and properly plugged in. Disconnect any additional equipment, extension cords and other phones. If the problem is resolved, the fault is with some other equipment. Test the equipment on a known working line (e.g. at a neighbour’s house). If the equipment works there the fault is probably with your telephone line. Please report this to your network operator.
English Warranty and other information Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) This device meets applicable international safety requirements for exposure to radio waves. The max. limit according to WHO is 2W/kg (per 10g tissue).This telephone measures 0,04 W/kg (per 10g tissue). Close to the base, i.e. within 20% of the maximum range, the SAR value is reduced to around 0,02 W/kg (per 10g tissue).

Français Batteries Des batteries neuves et complètement chargées (charge de 10 heures) ont une autonomie d’environ 10 heures en communication et 100 heures en veille. Ces durées sont données pour une utilisation à l’intérieur à des températures normales. Les batteries atteignent leur rendement maximal au bout de la 4ième ou la 5ième recharge. Le système de régulation de charge automatique évite de les surcharger et de les endommager par une recharge prolongée.
Français Portée En général, la portée du téléphone varie de 50 à 300 mètres en fonction des conditions ambiantes. Vous pouvez améliorer la portée en tournant la tête de façon à pointer le combiné vers la base. La qualité du son se détériore quand le combiné se rapproche de la limite de sa portée, puis la communication est coupée. Le symbole 6 s’affiche quand le téléphone est à portée et clignote lorsqu’il est hors de portée.

Lorsque le niveau des piles est très faible, le haut-parleur et le rétroéclairage sont désactivés afin d’économiser les piles.
Français Répertoire Le répertoire peut enregistrer 20 noms/numéros. Lorsque vous êtes abonné à la présentation du numéro, celui de votre correspondant s’affiche à la réception d’un appel (le nom peut également s’afficher pour les numéros sauvegardés dans le répertoire). Français Déclaration d’un nouveau combiné Tous les combinés livrés avec la base sont déclarés sur celle-ci. Cette opération n’est nécessaire que pour les nouveaux combinés. Vous pouvez utiliser (déclarer) jusqu’à 6 combinés par base. Français En cas de problèmes Vérifiez que le câble téléphonique soit en bon état et qu’il soit branché correctement. Débranchez tout autre matériel, rallonges et téléphones. Si l’appareil fonctionne alors normalement, la panne est causée par le matériel additionnel. Testez le matériel sur une ligne en état de marche (chez un voisin par ex.). Si le matériel fonctionne sur ce raccordement, votre propre ligne téléphonique est défectueuse. Signalez la panne à votre opérateur.
