The saddlebags must be installed so as not to interfere with
rear wheel or suspension components. Failure to assure
adequate clearance will result in serious injury. Obstructing
side reflectors is not recommended.
If your side reflector is obstructed, you must reposition it. The
reflective side striping on your saddlebags will not replace the
factory striping for visibility.
Installation
1. Place Saddlebags over fender. Loosen velcro straps
so the bags hang freely from the fender without
tipping either to far outward or inward. Place top part
of protective pad against tail section.
2. Locate loop straps and secure around suitable frame
member. Connect to buckles on front of
saddlebags.
3. Position rear strap under license plate bracket or
around fender. An additional strap has been provided for
bikes with license plate brackets that are not readily
accessible.
4. Tighten side straps, then rear strap. Saddlebags
should hang straight down. Readjust if necessary.
Do not overtighten.
5. Saddlebags should be positioned a minimum of
1”above exhaust pipe. Although the bottom of
the saddlebag contains an aluminized heat shield,
care should be taken to ensure adequate air flow
under the saddlebag to reduce exposure to heat
extremes.
