You may experience skin irritation or hypersensitivity due to the electrical stimulation
or electrically conductive medium (gel).
The stimulation settings should be based on your needs and comfort level.
Should be used only with the leads and electrodes recommended for use by the
manufacturer. Always follow instructions on electrode placement.
Should not use while driving, operating machinery, or during any activity in which
involuntary muscle contractions may put the user at undue risk of injury.
Caution should be used in the presence of the following:
Over the menstruating or pregnant uterus; and
Over areas of the skin which lack normal sensation.
1.3 Contraindications
For the following patients, they should not use the device:
Patients who have a cardiac pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, or other implanted
metallic or electronic device. Such use could cause electric shock, burns, electrical
interference, or death.
Patients whose pain syndromes are undiagnosed.
During Pregnancy.
Infants or young children.
Those who cannot express themselves.
1.4 Adverse Reactions
Person with highly sensitive skin may experience skin irritation with the electrodes.
You may experience uncomfortable pins and needle sensations during the treatment
if the electrode pads are sticking loosely on the skin, or if the electrodes lack
moisture and does not stick properly to the skin or if you have a scratch or opening
on the skin. If you experience any unexpected negative reactions with the treatments,
stop using the device and consult with your physician first before resuming
treatments.
Treating one region of the body for extended periods of time can cause muscle
fatigue and soreness. Try limiting the treatment time between 40 to 60 minutes each
time, about 3 to 5 times per day, or less if you do experience soreness after a
prolonged treatment on the same area.
