2. Hazards Identification

Emergency overview:

These materials are high-molecular-weight polymers not expected to be

chemically active under recommended conditions of use. Can release irritating

and or toxic vapors at elevated temperatures or if involved in a fire.

Potential Health Hazards:

Skin: Not considered hazardous but constant contact with this product could lead

to some skin irritation.

Eyes: Not considered hazardous but if eye contact should occur, wash with fresh

water for 15 minutes.

Chronic Inhalation: Exposure to crystalline silica is not expected during normal

use of this product, however, actual levels must be determined by workplace

hygiene testing. Prolonged and repeated exposure to airborne free inhalation of

crystalline silica can result in lung disease and lung cancer. It is recommended

that a NIOSH approved particulate respirator be worn whenever working with

this product results in airborne dust exceeding the prescribed limits. (exposure

Do not direct a solid spray of water into burning, molten material. Avoid dispersion of dust in air to reduce potential for dust ignition/explosions. 6. Accidental Release Methods Collect and place in a solid waste container. 7. Handling and Storage Normal Handling: Use normal personal hygiene and good housekeeping.

Gypsum is a naturally occurring mineral and not toxic effect on fish, or aquatic plants. 13. Disposal Considerations: This product when disposed of, is not considered a RCRA Hazardous Waste. Do not dump into any sewer, on the ground or into any body of water.
