8. If the displays are outside of the above-mentioned ranges:
 Check whether the cap is dirty and clean it if necessary
(see chapter 14 on page 72).
 If necessary, replace the gas inlet filter (see chapter
13.2.2 on page 70).
 If necessary, adjust the X-am 5100 (see Instructions for
Use of the X-am 5100).
3.5 Carrying out a connection test
The connection test can be used to check the correct
connection to all X-zone 5500 devices.
To perform a connection test:
1. Press the key to open the menu.
2. Use the key to select
and confirm the function
to start the connection test.
A signal via horn and LED
ring is issued three times
on every device connected
wirelessly or via a cable.
3.6 Alarm-attenuation ring
When switching off, on during and the functional tests of the X-
zone 5500, Dräger recommends wearing hearing protection or
using the alarm-attenuation ring (order no. 83 20 110) since
the acoustic alarm is activated briefly.
NOTICE
The relay contact can also be connected as an option.
The setting can be configured using the Dräger CC-
Vision PC software (see chapter on page 65).
