Maintenance
1. Dismantle the communication unit from the full face mask.
2. Fit the protective cap onto the full face mask and clean the full face
mask in accordance with the corresponding instructions for use.
3. Clean the communication unit with lukewarm water with the addition
of Sekusept
®
Cleaner and a soft cloth (temperature: max. 30°C,
concentration depending on the level of contamination: 0.5 - 1%)

Tough dirt marks can be removed using a soft brush. In the process,
ensure that the loudspeakers are not touched with the brush.
4. Thoroughly rinse all parts under running water.
5. Dry all parts either at least 12 hours in the air or 30 to 60 minutes
in a drying cabinet (temperature: max. 60°C). Keep out of direct
sunlight.
6. Check whether the earphones and fastening eyes are damaged.
Replace earphones and fastening eyes if damaged (see the
Technical Manual).
If the fixing lugs on the visor frame are damaged, the visor frame
of the full face mask must be replaced.
5.3 Maintenance work
5.3.1 Replacing batteries

NOTICE
The actual drying time required can vary greatly depending
on climatic influences.
CAUTION
During assembly work the specified torques must be
observed, otherwise the communication unit could be
damaged. Use suitable tool.

WARNING
Do not replace the batteries in an explosive environment!
Otherwise there is a risk of explosion!
The batteries are part of the approved version. The batteries
which can be used are specified in the supplement.
CAUTION
Do not open, take apart, modify or refit the batteries.
Do not insert foreign objects into the batteries.
Do not allow the batteries to be dropped, crushed, bent,
misshapen, pierced or crushed.
Do not expose the batteries to excessive heat or place
them in a microwave oven. If the batteries are once
exposed to high temperatures, the batteries must be
replaced immediately.
If a battery leaks, the fluid must not be allowed to come
into contact with the skin or eyes. If the fluid has already
come into contact with the skin or the eyes, rinse the
affected area with large quantities of water, seek medical
assistance immediately.
Never short-circuit the batteries.
Improper handling of batteries can cause fire, explosions
or other hazards.
