ENGINE CRANES - HEALTH AND SAFETY It is imperative that the guidelines shown in the
above schematics are followed concerning weight against lifting height. The general rule
is the further along the lifting arm the engine is suspended the less weight it can carry
safely, but lift it higher. Nearer the support arm, more weight but less height.
