Shower/Tub Door Installation Attention: This shower/tub installation is true for both equal and variable width stationary glass panels. The position for variable width stationary glass panels should be determined in accordance to the installation situation. “Flipping” the glass horizontally will allow the glass to be positioned on either side of the shower or tub. 1. Apply clear silicone along the inner channel of the Glass profile (01) and push the Stationary glass (03) inside the channel.
2. Place the Wall profile (02) to the wall above the shower base or tub and level it vertically. See Fig. 3 for details. Fig. 3 3. Make sure the Wall profile (02) is absolutely vertical. Mark the drilling holes on the wall through the predrilled holes in the Wall profile. Drill the holes in the wall using Ø 5/16” drill bit and insert the Wall anchors (06). Run a bead of waterproof silicone along the back of the Wall profile. Fasten the Wall profile to the wall using the Big flat head screw ST4.2×40 (07).
4. Place the other Wall profile (02) to the opposite wall above the shower base or tub and level it vertically. Please note that this Wall profile must be aligned perfectly with the opposite Wall profile on the threshold. Mark the drilling holes on the wall through the predrilled holes in the Wall profile. Drill the holes in the wall using a Ø 5/16” drill bit and insert the Wall anchors (06). Run a bead of waterproof silicone along the back of the Wall profile.
Fig. 7 6. Please orient the Pivot assembly (18) holes in the Pivot bars according to the desired swing of the door. Attach top and bottom Pivot bars (05) to the Stationary glass (03) using clear Rubber spacers (13), Decorative washers (16) and Hex socket bolts M8×25 (15). Place the clear Rubber spacers between the Pivot bar and the Stationary glass to prevent glass to metal connection. Place the Decorative washer between the Hex socket bolts M8×25 and the Stationary glass. See Fig. 8 for details.
7. The Pivot assemblies (18) ship in pairs as one for the top and one for the bottom. Position correctly for the outward swing of the door. Mount top and bottom Pivot assemblies to the Pivot bars (05) using Hex socket bolts M8×12 (14). Remove the back fastener from the pivot assemblies. Set the Glass door (04) so the holes are aligned. Make sure the rubber gaskets are in between the glass and the metal parts. Secure the back fastener with the provided bolt. 1 3 Inside 2 See Fig. 9 and Fig.
8. Push the Flanged anti-water strip (12) to the vertical edge of the Glass door (04) to seal between the door and the Stationary glass (03). Push the Bottom anti-water strip (11) to the bottom edge of the Glass door. Push the Magnetic strips (10) to the vertical edges of the Glass door and the Stationary glass. 3 1 Inside Glass door pivot side 2 4 Inside See Fig. 11 for details. Fig. 11 9.
10. Apply a bead of waterproof silicone along the bottom edges of the Stationary glass (03) and Pivot bars (05). See Fig. 13 for details. Fig. 13 Product Maintenance To ensure long lasting life for your acrylic back walls, wipe them off after each use with a soft cloth. Shower Base Installation - Preparation 1. Ensure that the floor and the studs are at right angles. Provide a 5”×5” opening in the subfloor for the drain. The 2” PVC waste pipe should extend above the surface of the sub-floor according to the drain installation instructions and the height of the Shower base. Refer to the product drawings and tables in these installation instructions for the drain location. 90° 90° 90° See Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 for details.
2. Install the shower drain (NOT INCLUDED) according to the drain installation manual (supplied with the drain). See Fig. 3 for example Fig. 3 3. Place the tray into the designated position so that the Drain Body drops around the Drain Pipe and butt the Shower Base up against the studs. See Fig. 4 for details. Lower the base over the drain pipe and set it into place against the studs. Fig. 4 “SLIMLINE SHOWER BASE” Ver.5 Rev.
4. Level the tray and place marks on the studs above the upper edge of the tile flange. See Fig. 5 for details. Level base in two directions Fig. 5 5. Mix the bedding material (Mortar, cement-sand mix, etc.) Concrete or plaster is not recommended. Apply enough bedding material to support the entire bottom of the shower base. This will add additional stability and prevent the base from shifting position. See Fig. 6 for details. Mortar Fig. 6 “SLIMLINE SHOWER BASE” Ver.5 Rev.
6. After the bedding material has been poured and before it sets, place the shower base into the position with the drain assembly sliding over the PVC waste pipe. It will be necessary to push the shower base until the top of the tile flange aligns with the marks drawn on the studs and the front edge is contacting the rough floor along the entire length of the shower base. Ensure that the base is level in all directions.
