Single tube
Important:
Failure to follow the recommendations in this
section can result in excessive back pressure on
the humidifier. This will result in unacceptable
humidification system performance such as
leaking gaskets, blown water seals, erratic water
level control, and spitting condensate from the
dispersion tube.

Installation notes
Use DRI-STEEM’s hard pipe adapter kit to connect the steam
outlet to hard pipe. Use a hose clamp to connect the steam
outlet to steam hose. Use a hose cuff and clamps to connect the
steam outlet to tubing.
Thin-walled tubing heats up faster than heavy-walled pipe
causing less steam loss at start-up.
Hard pipe or tubing diameter must match Vapormist steam
outlet size 1½" (DN40), 2" (DN50), or NPT connection.
See the Maximum Steam Carrying Capacity and Steam Loss
tables on Pages 16 and 17.
Maximum capacity of dispersion tube without condensate drain:
– 1½" (DN40): 28.4 lbs/hr (13 kg/h)
– 2" (DN50): 56.8 lbs/hr (25.8 kg/h)
Continued
Vapor hose, tubing or pipe. Insulate
tubing and hard pipe to reduce steam
loss. Do not insulate vapor hose. See
Table 16-1 for maximum piping lengths.
* Pitch vapor hose, tubing, or pipe toward humidifier:
2"/ft (15%) when using vapor hose
½"/ft (5%) when using 1½" tubing or pipe
¼"/ft (2%) when using 2" tubing or pipe
Dashed lines indicate provided by installer.

WARNING
Hot surface and steam hazard
Dispersion tube, steam hose, tubing, or
hard pipe can contain steam, and surfaces
can be hot. Discharged steam is not
visible. Contact with hot surfaces or air
into which steam has been discharged can
cause severe personal injury.
