Use and care manual for the DTA Tile Spacers
Tile spacers are simple plastic items either made in a “T “ or
cross shape that are placed between the tiles to maintain a
constant and consistent spacing between the tiles. Also, a hollow
spacer is available is a hollow spacer which allows the installer to
leave in the spacer and grout over them. The spacer creates a
gap that is filled by grout, which would finally give the perfect
look and finish to the surface. Tile spacers are available in the
market with different widths. DTA spacers are lightweight and
sturdy plastic is the primary material for tile spacer production.
The selection of tile spacers depends on the personal preference
and requirements of the job to allow proper tile spacing which
allows free movement of tile to consider the stress relief.
Install Instructions;
1. Place tiles on the prepared surface with a layer of adhesive.
2. Place the spacers at each corner of the tile.
3. Push the tile together until the spacer entirely holds to each
edge of the tile.
4. This ensures an equal gap between each tile. The number of
tile spacers used is equal to the number of tiles multiplied by
four. It’s recommended to buy a extra to for any damage or
loss of spacers during the process.
5.Remove the tile spacers before they get stuck with the
underlying mortar or the adhesive.
6. Clean and reuse.
