5. Test for spillage at the hood relief opening after 5 minutes of
main burner operation.

dampers and any other gas-burningapplianceto their previous
conditionsof use.
Any improper operation of the common venting systemshould
be corrected so the installation conforms with the National
FuelGasCode, ANSIZ223.l-latest revision.When resizing any
portion of the common venting system, the common venting
systemshould be resized to approach the minimum size as
determined usingthe appropriate tables in the National Fuel
GasCode,ANSI Z223.l-latest revision.In Canada, followCSA
B149.1or.2 Installation Codes.
NOTE: It is recommended that existing gasvents be
checkedto be sure they meet local codes.
