Section 5 Fire Fighting Measures
Flash Point: Not Applicable
Flammable Limits: Not Applicable
LEL: Not Applicable
UEL: Not Applicable
Auto Ignition Temperature: Not Applicable
Extinguishing Media: Regular Foam, Waterfog, Carbon Dioxide, or Dry Chemical.
Fire Fighting Instructions: As appropriate for surrounding fire.
Fire Fighting Equipment: Fire fighters should wear NIOSH approved, positive pressure, self-
contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and full protective clothing when fighting fires.
Hazardous Combustion Products: None
Flame Propagation or Burning Rate of Solid Material: None
Flammability Classification (As defined by 26 CFR 1910.1200): NFPA code 1 Material must
be preheated before ignition can occur..
Section 6 Accidental Release Measures
Remove all sources of ignition. Ventilate area. Absorb with an inert absorbent material. All used
and unused product should be disposed of in conformance with local, state, and federal
regulations.
Section 7 Handling and Storage
Handling: Follow good housekeeping and hygienic practices. Always wear personal safety
protection. Clothing being used around chemicals should be cleaned daily. Never weld on or
near containers either empty or full. Secure all chemical out of reach of children.
Storage: The product should be stored in a cool dry location away from heat and open flame.
Section 8 Exposure Control/Personal Protection
Engineering Controls: Sufficeint mechanical ventilation should be used to maintain exposure
levels below PEL and TLV limits in section 2
Respiratory Protection: Not If PEL or TLV limits listed in section 2 are exceeded a
NIOSH/OHSA approved air respirator is advised. These respirators should not be used for an
extended period of time. A dust mask should be used when using a buffing machine. High
speeds of buffing machines throw chemical dust into the air.
Eye Protection: Chemical resistant splash goggles are recommended when using liquid
chemicals or using high speed buffing machines.
Protective Gloves: Chemical resistant gloves are recommended as some chemicals may not
only do damage to the skin, but may also be a threat through absorbsion.
Other Protective Clothing or Equipment: Not necessary for usual product handling
