Components and Features Electronic Metered Deluxe Faucet Mount Model Series WFFM350 (1) Filter Cover The system is designed to easily attach to most standard kitchen faucets. Adapters included. Not designed to fit kitchen tap with sprayers built-in to the end of the faucet. Depending upon the faucet threads, a different adapter may need to be purchased from a local hardware or plumbing store.
Installation Step 1 Remove Aerator From Faucet Unscrew the aerator. Remove any washers from your faucet. Clean the threads to remove any rust or scale. Installation Step 2 Determine The Need For An Adapter If there are threads on the outside of the faucet – Proceed to Step 3. If there are threads on the inside of the faucet: Select the adapter that fits your faucet. Apply plumbing tape (provided) to the threads on both ends of the adapter. The tape acts as an extra seal and strengthens the connection. Screw the adapter into the faucet. Hand tighten.
Installation Step 3 Attach The Filter To Your Faucet Position the filter system so that the unit is on the left side of your faucet and the Filter Monitor is facing you. Attach the threaded mounting nut to the faucet and turn until hand tight. Mounting Nut The filter assembly may be moved back and forth while holding the mounting nut to help tighten the faucet mount. 6 V4.
Installation Step 4 Install The Filter Cartridge Open the filter cartridge package and remove the cartridge. Open the Filter Cover, located at rear of unit, by unscrewing it. Insert the cartridge into the housing. The gallon capacity of the filter should be face up and align with the Filter Window on the top of the housing. Push in until snug. Reattach the Filter Cover. The display will flash “---“ five times to indicate that both the system and the battery are working properly.
Installation Step 5 Flush The Filter The Water Selector Switch is located on the far right end of the filter unit. Turn the Water Selector Switch to the vertical position. Turn on the cold water tap and allow water to run through the filter until the meter changes from “Flh” to “ooo”. Do not drink or use the filtered water during the flush cycle. If the numbers “888” appear on the Filter Life Meter then the viewing angle is not correct. To read the display correctly the meter must be viewed at eye level.
Instructions For Use 1. The DuPont™ Faucet Mount Filter is now ready for use. 2. The Filter Life Monitor will begin to measure the gallons used, indicating the exact volume of water that has passed through your filter. The back light on the Electronic Filter Meter goes off after a few seconds of use. Meter continues to measure water filtered. 3. When the number of gallons shown on the meter equals the number of gallons showing through the filter window (e.g.
Electronic Filter Meter The Electronic Filter Meter (EFM) is revolutionary in that an LCD display reports the actual gallons filtered by this system. When the gallons filtered approaches the gallons capacity of the filter cartridge (see window on top of unit), it is nearing its designed filtration capacity. EFM Code Summary --Flashes 5 Times Battery and system are operational - This only appears with the initial set-up.
Operation/Maintenance Data These units are intended for non-commercial use. They should be used only in ambient air temperature of between 35 degrees F / 2 degrees C and 100 degrees F / 37.7 degrees C. Placement of these units in direct sunlight or use of electrical heating equipment on these units must be avoided. Replace filter cartridge when and as directed in the installation/operation instructions included with each cartridge. Replacement filter cartridges are available at retail outlets.
