Problem Possible Cause Solution
The image is
out of focus.
The subject is
beyond focus
range.
 Please take a
picture within the
available focus
range and choose
normal or macro
mode. (See Section
3.2.5 “Using the
macro function”.)
The image
shows an
unrealistic
color cast on
the preview
screen.
The white
balance is not set
correctly.
 Adjust the white
balance setting to
render accurate
colors in the
image. (See
Section 4.1.6
“White balance”.)
Memory card
cannot be
used.
The memory
card is protected.
The memory
card contains
non-DCF images
taken by other
cameras.
 Unlock the
memory card.
 Format the
memory card. (See
Section 4.4.8
“Format”.) Before
formatting the
card, ensure you
back up the files.
