GENERAL INFORMATION: • This heater is for outdoor use only. • When the heater is cold or at room temperature, it will take a few minutes for the burner to turn bright orange. This is normal and the heater is working properly. Also, during the initial lighting, the oil used during manufacturing process needs to burn off. This can take up to 60 minutes of continuous burning. Some odor and yellow flames may occur during this time but will diminish after the burn-in period.

TANK INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Tank Installation for DOT Certified 1 lb. Propane Cylinder(s) (Fig. 1) • Open easy access tank compartment door(s). • Locate regulator and swivel it upward by hand to provide better access for cylinder • Attach cylinder(s) to swivel mount by gently turning clockwise until it is hand tight. Do not overtighten. Do not use tools to tighten. • Check for gas leaks by using a 50% soap-water solution at the joint of the regulator and cylinder. Regulator Access Door 1 lb.

MAINTENANCE: Wire Guard Always keep the heater area clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids. Keep the vent areas (slots in the bottom and the top at the front of heater) clear at all times so combustion ventilation air is not obstructed. Visually inspect the pilot flame burner periodically during use so combustion and ventilation air is not obstructed. The pilot flame should be blue in color (not yellow) and will extend beyond the thermocouple.

TROUBLESHOOTING WARNING: If you smell gas: • Shut off gas supply. • Do not try to light any appliance. • Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any phone in your building. • Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone. Follow the gas supplier’s instructions. • If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire department. IMPORTANT: Operating heater where impurities in air exist may create odors.

RENSEIGNEMENTS GÉNÉRAUX : • Ce radiateur doit être utilisé à l’extérieur seulement. • Lorsque le radiateur est à froid ou à la température de la pièce, le brûleur prendra quelques minutes avant de devenir orange clair. Cette situation est normale et le radiateur fonctionne correctement. De plus, lors du premier allumage, l’huile utilisée pendant le processus de fabrication doit être brûlée. Il peut être nécessaire de laisser l’huile brûler jusqu’à 60 minutes sans interruption.

INSTRUCTIONS D’INSTALLATION DE LA BOUTEILLE Installation d’une bouteille de propane de 1 lb approuvée par le département des Transports des États-Unis (DOT) (figure 1) • Ouvrez la porte d’accès facile à la bouteille. • Trouvez le régulateur et vissez-le vers le haut manuellement afin de permettre un accès plus facile à la bouteille. • Fixez la bouteille sur la monture articulée en la tournant doucement dans le sens horaire jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit serrée. Ne serrez pas trop.

INSTRUCTIONS D’ALLUMAGE, DE FONCTIONNEMENT ET D’ARRÊT 1. Assurez-vous que le bouton de commande est en position d’arrêt ( ). 2. Ouvrez la porte d’accès et installez la bouteille de propane de 1 lb approuvée par le DOT. Vérifiez la présence de fuites de gaz en versant une solution d’eau savonneuse à 50 % sur le joint du régulateur et de la bouteille. 3. Appuyez sur le bouton de commande et tournez-le dans le sens antihoraire jusqu’à ce qu’il soit en position de veilleuse ( ).

ENTRETIEN : Grille de protection Gardez la zone du radiateur exempte de matériaux combustibles, d’essence et d’autres vapeurs et liquides inflammables. Gardez les évents (fentes situées en bas et en haut à l’avant du radiateur) dégagés en tout temps pour que l’entrée d’air ne soit pas obstruée. Inspectez la veilleuse et le brûleur régulièrement pendant l’utilisation pour vérifier que l’entrée d’air n’est pas obstruée. La veilleuse devrait être bleue (et non jaune) et s’élever au-dessus du thermocouple.

DÉPANNAGE AVERTISSEMENT : Si vous sentez une odeur de gaz : • Fermez l’arrivée de gaz. • N’allumez aucun appareil. • Ne touchez à aucun interrupteur électrique; n’utilisez pas de téléphone dans le bâtiment. • Appelez immédiatement votre fournisseur de gaz à partir du téléphone d’un voisin. Suivez les instructions du fournisseur. • Si vous ne pouvez pas rejoindre votre fournisseur, appelez le service d’incendie.

DÉPANNAGE PROBLÈME CAUSE POSSIBLE Le brûleur a des retours de flamme pendant la combustion. 1. L’orifice du brûleur est obstrué ou endommagé. SOLUTION Il y a de hautes flammes jaunes lors de la combustion. 1. Il n’y a pas assez d’air. Des odeurs de gaz se dégagent du radiateur lors de la combustion. 1.
