Important safety instructions
Read and review these instructions before using the adapter/converter.
1 Check the product you intend to connect the adapter or converter to use for the manufacturer’s voltage
and wattage rating, which should be located on the product.
CAUTION: Adapters alone do not convert voltage. To avoid damaging your appliance, do not use
without a voltage converter.
2 Do not leave the converter in the power outlet when not in use. Do not continue to use the
adapter/converter combo if it is not working properly, has been damaged, or dropped in water.
3 Some appliances may operate a little more slowly when used in foreign countries operating on 50
cycles (U.S. operates on 60 cycles).
4 At times there may be a very low humming sound in the converter, appliance, or both. This is normal.
5 Due to unstable voltage in most foreign countries, if your appliance has a built-in thermostat, it may
shut o your appliance prematurely. This does not mean your appliance or converter (or both) are not
working correctly. After your appliance cools down it should resume operating correctly.
6 Make sure that the dual voltage selector switch on your appliance, when provided, is in the correct
voltage position before operating

Instructions for use
Warning: Indoor use only! Intended for use outside of USA and Canada.
Appliances that operate on 110/120V will not work in most parts of the world where the voltage is
220/240V. Your dual wattage converter makes it possible to use your portable appliances almost
anywhere in the world. You simply set the LO/HI switch, plug the converter into the power outlet, plug
your appliance into the converter, then turn on your appliance.
All appliances have a wattage rating marked on them and should bechecked before using.
Low watt setting
For use with battery chargers, electric shavers, radios, curling irons, and other appliances that use less than
25 watts. The low setting can be used for long periods of time on products with electronic circuitry that are
0–25 watts, for example, battery chargers and radios.

High watt setting
For clothes irons, steamers, some hair dryers, and other appliances that use from 26 to 1875 watts.
DO NOT use the HIGH setting for electronic circuitry products. The high setting is designed to be used only
for short periods of time (approximately 10 minutes).
1 Select the correct watt setting. Check the appliance’s rating plate for watts. If the wattage is not
indicated, multiply voltage by amps, for example, 120 V x 3 amps = 360 watts. Then set the selector
switch to the appropriate setting.
2 Insert the converter into a power outlet. The converter pins on the converter will t most foreign power
outlets. Plug adapters for other countries are available. See the Adapter plugs section.
3 Plug in your appliance. Plug your 110V appliance into the outlet on the converter.
Adapter plugs
Ensure that the dual voltage selector switch on your appliance, when provided, is in the correct voltage
position before operating. Conrm the voltage available at each overseas location before using these
adapters with an appliance. In some countries, you may encounter a recessed outlet or other shapes of
power outlets. This set of adapter plugs will adapt to most power outlets found worldwide
NOTES: Do not leave the adapter in the power outlet when not in use. Do not use adapter plugs if they
are not working correctly, have been damaged, or dropped in water.

utilisation
