User Instructions

Install the #EFL87897 - Afterburner Ring according to the instructions found in the aircraft manual.
Note: An extension lead is already installed in the fuselage for the Afterburner Ring. The end of the lead is
taped under the Vertical Fin mounting structure inside the fuselage. It may be easier to locate and
connect the lead by removing the EDF unit.
Special note: The Afterburner Ring cannot be Y-Harnessed with the ESC as originally stated in the manual. The
serial data stream will not allow the Afterburner Ring to operate correctly.
1. Unplug the filter that is plugged into the Channel-6 of the receiver and plug into one end of the
(included) Y-Harness.
2. Remove the battery hatch and locate the loose LED Afterburner extension plug, close to the receiver,
and plug it into the other end of the Y-Harness.
3. Plug the Y-Harness into Channel-6 of the receiver.

2. Select: Channel Assign
3. Scroll to and Select: NEXT – to Rx Port Assignment
4. Scroll to and Select: 6 AUX1
5. Scroll to and Select: Throttle

2. Select: Channel Assign
3. Select: RX PORT ASSIGNMENT
4. Select the drop down: 6 AUX1:
5. Change to: Throttle
