Features
This section details some of the “power-user” features of PX-7 designed for
playing and modifying patterns in a live situation.
XMix This great feature allows you to replace tracks of the currently playing
pattern with tracks from any other pattern. It’s designed both for perfor-
mance use and as a quick way to experimentally swap tracks. Tracks can be
replaced with data from any other track. If you’re happy with the results,
you can save the current pattern to any location using the Save/Copy
function.

The Source pattern must
be loaded, which generally takes
about half a second, before new
tracks can be replaced.
The Source Pattern is loaded
when the “Select Dest Track”
screen appears.

To Replace Tracks using XMix
1. Play a pattern.
2. Press and hold Tap, then press Play. The display changes to:
