The UltraNav has reverse
polarity protection.
No
damage
will occur to
the
unit
if the
power
wires are hooked
up
backwards.
However,
it
won't work until
the
wiring
is connected
properly.
Attach the loran module's cable to the
UltraNav's
power
cable.
Tags
on
the cables
identify
both the loran and the
optional speed/tempera-
ture sensor's connector.
See the loran section
in this manual for loran
module installation.
NOISE
Bilge pumps
and their
wiring
can
also radiate
noise,
so
keep
the cables
away
from
them,
if
possible.
VHF radio antennas and cables radiate
AF
energy
at
high power
levels. It is
important
to
keep
the
power
and transducer cables
away
from
them,
also. See the sonar
troubleshooting
section for
tips
on
preventing
noise
problems.
