Granite-52 Design • 5 1/4” woofer with polycone with butyl rubber surround • ½” Mylar tweeter Granite-52 is a pair of left and right speakers with an unconventional coaxial design. The tweeter is mounted on the same shaft of the speaker and in a typical speaker, the shaft requires a small opening for movement. This allows moisture to pass the waterproof cone and get into the voice coil, damaging the speaker. Earthquake engineers solved this problem by developing the world’s first rubber spider.
