A. Our Sun Screen Fabric is made of High Density Polyethylene with UV stabilizers. 
  
Q. What amount of shade protection does the fabric provide? 
  
A. Our Premium grade Sun Screen fabric provides 70 to 75% shade protection. 
  
Q. Will the fabric provide UV protection? If so, what percentage? 
  
A. Yes, our Sun Screen Fabric blocks a certain amount of UV rays. Because the color of the fabric is 
a factor, we have provided a range for UV transmission: 
  UV rays blocked – 81% to 87% 
  UV transmission – 13% to 19% 
  
Q. Will the fabric fray or unravel when cut? 
  
A. Our Sun Screen Fabric is created with a knitted lock-stitch design. This creates a stronger, more 
durable fabric and provides greater resistance to tearing and fraying. 
  
Q. Is the fabric rated for fire? 
  
A. No, our fabric is not rated for fire. 
  
Q. Which side of the fabric faces toward the sun? 
  
A. Either side. There is not a right or wrong side of the fabric. 
  
Q. Is the fabric water resistant? 
  
A. No, our Sun Screen Fabric is a “breathable fabric”. Water and air will pass thru the fabric.
