Assembly
CAUTION!
Before drilling the holes for the wall mounting, ensure that there
are no cables or pipes in the wall that could be damaged.
1. Select a position for the solar spotlight where the solar panel
can absorb direct sunlight for the whole day as far as possible
(preferably south-facing) and where no obstacles such as
parked cars, fences or trees can restrict the sensor area.
2a. If you want to anchor the solar
spotlight in the ground, take the
ground spike, plug its blunt end
into the stem of the solar spotlight
and x both parts together with the
xing screw which is supplied. Push
the ground spike into the ground.
2b. If you want to screw the solar
spotlight to the wall or on a horizontal
surface, use the base.
Place the base on the chosen
surface, mark four drill holes and
then drill the holes.
Push the dowels which are supplied
into the holes.
Screw the base so that it is securely
attached using the screws which are
supplied.
Push the stem of the solar spotlight onto the base and x
the parts together with the xing screw.
3. Adjust the angle of the spotlight and then tighten the hinge
screw.
The solar panel can only be turned slightly to the left and
right. It is not possible to turn it 360° and it cannot be tilted
up or down.
4. Turn the solar panel to face the sun.
5. Activate the solar spotlight by pushing the slide switch on the
bottom.
When it is rst used, it takes approx. 8 hours with sunlight
shining directly on the solar panel for the battery to be fully
charged up.
As soon as the battery is charged up, the red LED starts
ashing and simulates a surveillance camera.
When it gets dark, the motion sensor is activated
automatically. If the sensor detects a moving object within
a radius of 3 to 4 metres, the spotlight lights up for approx.
30 seconds and then automatically switches itself off again.
When it gets light, the motion sensor switches off and the
battery is charged up via the solar panel.
