Do all loads trip it every time?
AFCI trips instantly when a load is applied
Turn the breaker off. Remove load hot and
load neutral from the breaker. Use an ohm
meter to check for continuity between the load
neutral and the neutral bar in the panel.
Check for Grounded Neutrals
Turn the breaker off. Remove load hot and
load neutral from the breaker. Use an ohm
meter to check for continuity between the load
neutral and the neutral bar in the panel.

Check for a shared neutral with a three wire home run or
by having two different circuits in the same switchbox with
all neutrals tied together. Check to verify the hot and
neutral are paired correctly at the breaker.
