Chapter 5 Monitored ePDU Web Interface
This chapter explains:
S Hardware connection
S Configuring Internet protocol settings to access the user interface
S Displaying ampere readings of the current transformers
S Configuring Monitored ePDU parameters
Hardware Setup
To use the network interface, connect a standard Ethernet cable (included) from the
RJ45 connector labeled NET on the top of the unit (see Figure 3) to an available port
on a network switch.
Connect the power input to an appropriate electrical source.
Configuration and Control via Network Connection
Default Settings:
IP Address: 192.168.168.100
Gateway: 192.168.168.1
User Name: Admin
Password: etn
1. Using your favorite web browser, navigate to the remote current meter's IP
address (e.g., http:/192.168.168.100)
2. A READINGS screen will appear that shows all of the available current and
temperature readings for the unit. Click on Refresh to update the screen.
3. To enter configuration mode, click on Configuration on the left-hand side off the
screen. A prompt will appear asking for the user name and password. Enter the
information from the list above.
4. A CONFIGURATION screen will appear that shows all of the available options for
the unit, including network settings. After changing any parameters, press the
SAVE SETTINGS button (Figure 8) to save the changes, wait about 5 seconds,
then press the CLICK HERE link to return to the READINGS screen.
Web Interface
The web interface uses graphical navigation to view channel status, temperature
readings, and to change configuration. To open a web connection to this unit, follow
the instructions in the previous section. The left panel displays two accessible web
pages and the log off option.
