Voltage and Current Settings
Each voltage and current measurement can be configured to have both a lower and
upper voltage and current threshold. For all single-phase Switched ePDUs (8-outlet,
16-outlet, and some 24-outlet Switched ePDUs), these thresholds correspond to what
is measured for each outlet section. For all three-phase Switched ePDUs (most
24-outlet Switched ePDUs), these thresholds are for phase voltage and phase current;
thresholds for section 1 correspond to phase X, those for section 2 correspond to
phase Y, and those for section 3 correspond to phase Z. Be sure to read the label next
to the measurements for an exact description.
Table 24. Voltage and Current Settings
Field Description
High Voltage Threshold
When the voltage measurement crosses above the upper threshold or below
the lower threshold, e-mail alerts and/or SNMP traps may be sent,
depending on the Log Manager and SNMP Settings configuration.
Low Voltage Threshold
High Current Threshold
When the current measurement crosses above the upper threshold or below
the lower threshold, e-mail alerts and/or SNMP traps may be sent,
depending on the Log Manager and SNMP Settings configuration).
Low Current Threshold
Ctrl Outlet/Group If the thresholds are not being used, or if they are needed only to report a
possible power problem, the Ctrl Outlet/Group check box should be clear.
If the Ctrl Outlet/Group check box is selected, an outlet or group name must
also be entered.
The selected outlet or group turns off when the voltage or current goes
above the upper threshold or below the lower threshold. The outlet or group
does not turn back on when the voltage or current returns to a value
between the two thresholds.
Outlet/Group Name Up to 20 characters.
NOTE Outlet and group names are case-sensitive. If an outlet or group
name is later changed, control from the voltage and current measurements
does not work until they are reconfigured with the new name.
