3 Interfacing

3.1 Uploading Information to a PC

Main Menu

After completing a Cast, it will often be desirable to upload the results to a PC in spreadsheet

format for further processing or record keeping. To do so, select Comm in the main menu and

press Enter. The screen shown below will be displayed.

3.2 Communication Menu Parameters

Output Cast: Listed after this parameter are the numbers for each of the casts stored in the

unit's memory (from 1 to a possible 10). Selecting All and pressing the Enter key

will result, as the name implies, in all of the casts being output to an external

computer. Selecting individual casts by number tells the unit to output only the

results of the selected cast. NOTE: Please read the section labeled Annotating the

Echo Sounder Chart Automatically, later in this chapter.
