• If you are not comfortable performing any of the functions described in these instructions, take your unit to an autho-
rized servicing dealer.
• Always stop engine, disconnect spark plug, and make sure all moving parts have come to a complete stop and allow
unit to cool before servicing unit. Wear gloves to protect hands from sharp edges and hot surfaces.
• Workinawell-ventilatedarea,awayfromopenamesorsparks.
• Drain fuel from tank and store in an approved container a minimum of 10 feet away from the work area.

Installing New Air Filter
1. Close choke. This prevents dirt from entering the
carburetorthroatwhentheairlterisremoved.
Brush accumulated dirt from air cleaner area.
2. Removeairlterandcover.Brushdirtfrominside
cover.
3. Installnewairlterinairltercover.
4. Installairltercover.
Installing New Spark Plug
1. Remove spark plug lead.
2. Remove spark plug.
3. Install new spark plug. See operator’s manual for
torqueandgapspecications.
4. Install spark plug lead.
Installing New Fuel Filter
1. Use a clean rag to remove loose dirt from around
fuel cap and empty fuel tank.
2. Pullthefuellterfromthefueltank.
3. Removethelterfromthelineandinstallthenew
lter.
