• Always stop engine, disconnect spark plug, and make sure all moving parts have come to a complete stop and allow
unit to cool before servicing unit. Wear gloves to protect hands from sharp edges and hot surfaces.
• Workinawell-ventilatedarea,awayfromopenamesorsparks.
• Drain fuel from tank and store in an approved container a minimum of 10 feet away from the work area.

Installing New Air Filter
1. Close choke. This prevents dirt from entering the
carburetorthroatwhentheairlterisremoved.
Brush accumulated dirt from air cleaner area.
2. Removeairlterandcover.Brushdirtfrominside
cover.
3. Installnewairlterinairltercover.
4. Installairltercover.
Installing New Spark Plug
1. Remove spark plug lead.
2. Remove spark plug.
3. Install new spark plug. See operator’s manual for
torqueandgapspecications.
4. Install spark plug lead.
Installing New Fuel Filter
1. Use a clean rag to remove loose dirt from around
fuel cap and empty fuel tank.
2. Pullthefuellterfromthefueltank.
3. Removethelterfromthelineandinstallthenew
lter.
