Quick Reference Guide 4. OPERATION Daily use of the receiver is similar to the operation of your current TV and VCR. Extra functions are the Electronic Program Guide (EPG), favorite channel lists (color keys), subtitle and audio language selection. Every time when you change channels, a so called InfoBanner appears to give you some extra information about the program. In case of warranty claims, we can request to return the receiver in the original packaging to protect the electronics. Failing to do so might void the warranty. Description and Operation DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION 1. CHANNEL LISTS The key gives access to the channel lists and the different list and zap functions. NOTE Once in a list, the selections for Group (Yellow) and Sort (Blue) are kept until you change the selection. The active selection is shown in the InfoBanner with icons. Sometimes a list seems to be empty because of the selection of the Sort option. If this happens, set Sort option to None.
Description and Operation 2. EPG MENU - PROGRAM INFORMATION The key gives access to the EPG menu, where you control the timers and view the information in the Electronic Program Guide. When you scroll, in time, through the program information, the EPG key brings you back to the current time. NOTE Most digital channels broadcast program data as an EPG. Digital channels that broadcast EPG offer you program information in advance for a certain period of time. The EPG information is not always available.

This means that all other lists are temporarily removed and that you only can use the selected list. Note that the main and edit menu are also disabled with an installation lock to prevent unauthorized access. NOTE The factory default PIN-code is set to 0 0 0 0 .
Description and Operation 8. EDIT - ADD/EDIT SATELLITE, TRANSPONDER, CHANNEL (PID) NOTE You only need to add a satellite and/or transponder if it is not available from the internal database. When you add a satellite, you have to identify at least one transponder. You only need to change PIDs when your service provider changes the channel. A digital signal is basically broken up in Video and Audio information which are synchronized with the PCR PID.

For multi-lingual programs, if available, you can choose your own language.

If you select Yes, the receiver is ready to do a Factory reset. If you select Confirm, the receiver deletes all user defined settings, channels, timers and (favorite) lists and replace them with the factory defaults.
