"WARNING: THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS CHEMICALS KNOWN TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO CAUSE CANCER AND
BIRTH DEFECTS OR OTHER REPRODUCTIVE HARM." Although IARC has classified titanium dioxide as possibly
carcinogenic to humans (2B), their summary concludes:”No significant exposure to titanium dioxide is
thought to occur during the use of products in which titanium dioxide is bound to other materials, such as
paint”. This is typical of paints containing titanium dioxide.
4. FIRST AID MEASURES
EYES: Remove any contact lenses, irrigate copiously with clean, fresh water, holding the eyelids
apart for at least 10 minutes and seek immediate medical advice
SKIN: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or
use recognized skin cleanser. Do NOT use solvents or thinners
INGESTION: If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the container or label.
Keep person warm and at rest. Do NOT induce vomiting
INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. Keep person warm and at rest. If not breathing, if
breathing is irregular or if respiratory arrest occurs, provide artificial respiration or oxygen by
trained personnel.
NOTES TO PHYSICIAN: Treat symptomatically. Contact poison treatment specialist
immediately if large quantities have been ingested or inhaled.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
SUITABLE EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Use an extinguishing agent suitable for the surrounding
fire
UNSUITABLE EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: None known
FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Promptly isolate the scene by removing all persons from the
vicinity of the incident if there is a fire. No action shall be taken involving an personal risk or
without suitable training.
