4. FIRST AID MEASURES
First aid measures
General Advice
Immediate medical attention is required. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance. First aid is upon
rupture of sealed CFL bulb.
Eye Contact
Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, also under the eyelids. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Skin Contact
Wash skin with soap and water. In the case of skin irritation or allergic reactions see a physician. May cause an
allergic skin reaction.
Inhalation
Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration. Get
medical attention immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Do not breathe dust.
Ingestion
Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth. Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water. Never give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention.
Self-protection of the first aider
Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Ensure that medical personnel are aware of the material(s) involved, take
precautions to protect themselves and prevent spread of contamination. Do not breathe dust. Wear personal
protective clothing (see section 8).
