2.6 Mounting Your Solenoids (Continuation)...
Remember that there are many factors to take into account when mounting your solenoids. Make sure that
you mount the solenoids within line length of the plate. Other factors or components that could potentially
interfere with solenoid placement are:
- Water neck/thermostat housings
- Water fittings
- Distributor housing
- Vacuum advance canisters
- Air filter housings
- Throttle linkage passageways
- Valve covers and valve cover fasteners
Pictured below is one example of the many ways that you can mount your solenoids.
2.7 Fuel and Nitrous Y-Fittings Installation
1. Locate the two 4AN 12-inch red steel braided hoses and the red 4AN Y-Fitting supplied with this system.
2. Connect one end of one of the supplied 4AN 12-inch red hoses to the inlet of the Performer Fuel Solenoid.
Connect the remaining end of this hose to the supplied 4AN red Y-Fitting.
3. Connect one end of the remaining 4AN 12-inch red hose to the inlet of the Performer RPM Fuel Solenoid.
Connect the remaining end of this hose to the 4AN red Y-Fitting.
4. Determine a source for your fuel supply to the nitrous system and connect the remaining end of the red Y-Fitting
to this source.
5. Locate the two 4AN 12-inch blue steel braided hoses and the blue 4AN Y-Fitting supplied with this system.
6. Connect one end of one of the supplied 4AN 12-inch blue hoses to the inlet port of the Performer Nitrous
Solenoid. Connect the remaining end of this hose to the 4AN blue Y-Fitting.
7. Connect one end of the remaining 4AN 12-inch blue hose to the inlet port of the Performer RPM Nitrous
Solenoid. Connect the remaining end of this hose to the 4AN blue Y-Fitting.
8. Connect the main feed line hose to the remaining 4AN fitting of the 4AN blue Y-Fitting.
