Example
Console(config-if)#ipv6 nd ra interval 500

ipv6 nd ra lifetime This command configures the lifetime of IPv6 router advertisements on the
specified VLAN. The no form of the command will set the RA lifetime to the default.
Syntax
ipv6 nd ra lifetime life-time
life-time - life time in seconds (Range: 0 to 9000 seconds)
Default
1800 seconds

Command Usage
Setting the value to 0 means the router will not be used as a default router on
the VLAN interface.
The router is the default router on the VLAN interface if the lifetime is set to
between 1 and 9000 seconds.
The lifetime value must be less than the time set by the command ipv6 nd ra
interval.
Example
This command indicates the router is not the default on the VLAN interface.
Console(config-if)#ipv6 nd ra lifetime 0
Console(config-if)#
ipv6 nd ra router-
preference
This command is used to set the routers default routing preference Use the no form
of the command to remove the setting.
Syntax
ipv6 nd ra router-preference {high | medium | low}
no ipv6 nd ra router-preference
