Before you Begin: Preparing the Ice Maker for Use Before you plug the ice maker in to a power supply, be sure to let it stand upright for at least 24 hours to allow the compressor’s oils to settle. Unpacking the Ice Maker IMPORTANT: Do not remove any safety, warning, or product information labels from your ice maker. Carefully remove the packaging materials. Remove any shipping tape and glue from your ice maker before using.
Operation Using Your Ice Maker Before using your ice maker it is strongly recommended to clean it thoroughly. Read and follow the Cleaning and Maintenance section of the manual before proceeding. Follow the steps below to start using your ice maker. 1. Open the top cover and remove any packaging tape that may be holding down the ice case, ice shovel, ice basket, and ice scoop. Remove the ice scoop. 2. Remove the ice basket and clean it. 3. Clean the water reservoir. 4. Pour water into the water reservoir.

B POWER BUTTON You can turn the unit on and off by pressing and depressing the button.
How the Portable Ice Maker Produces Ice This ice maker will have two beeps different in length to serve as notification: 3 second beep will indicate the unit is out of water and needs to be refilled. 5 second beep will indicate ice production is complete and to transfer ice to freezer/cooler. After the unit is powered on the ice making process begins as the compressor and the water pump engage. The compressor gases freeze the evaporator grid as the water pump will flow water over it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Periodic cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure efficiency, top performance, and long life. Never use a solvent-based cleaning agent. These cleaners may transmit taste to the ice cubes, or damage and discolor the interior. You should unplug the unit before cleaning the exterior and interior. The icemaker must be thoroughly cleaned if it has been left unused for a long time. Follow carefully any instructions provided for cleaning or use of sanitizing solution.
Ensure that you thoroughly clean each attached and detachable part so your ice maker will be fully clean and ready for use. Water Pipe: The water pipe is detachable, so you can remove it, clean with soap, and run clean, warm water through the pipe. Stainless Steel Casing: Clean the outside of the ice maker with a mild detergent and warm water. Do not put ice maker in the dishwasher, as it is not dishwasher-safe.
TROUBLESHOOTING Before Calling for Service If the unit appears to be malfunctioning, the issue could be solved by following the suggestions in the “Solution” column. Issue Possible Cause Solution The ice maker is unplugged. Plug the ice maker in. Press the power button. The Power Indicator light should be on. Try a different power outlet. If the unit works on a different circuit, you may need to contact a certified electrician to resolve the power issue.
