3.5. Power Amplifier
The power amplifier receives the analog transmit signal from the sonar/IDE interface
board. The transmit signal is then amplified by a step-up transformers and 3-Stage “H-
Bridge Amplifier Circuit”. The analog transmit signal is sent down the tow cable to the
tow fish.
3.6. Power Board
The power board generates the assorted voltages required by the subassemblies inside the
topside unit. The assorted voltages are derived from input power which can be +12 VDC,
120VAC or 240VAC.
