Linksys WET11 Wireless Ethernet Bridge
EdgeTech pre-configures the Linksys WET11 Wireless Ethernet Bridge in the Portable
System with EdgeTech wireless networking settings. Users should not have to
change these WET11 settings under normal operating conditions.
If the WET11 settings get corrupted or accidentally reset, or if a WET11 unit needs to
be replaced in the field, the following steps describe how to configure a Linksys
WET11 Wireless Ethernet Bridge with EdgeTech wireless networking settings.
Setup the laptop for wired communication with the WET11
Follow these steps to add an additional static IP address (192.168.1.100) to the
laptop’s TCP/IP properties to allow wired communications with the WET11.
1. Open the laptop’s “Network Connections” (in Control Panel).
2. Right-Click on “Local Area Connection”.
3. In the pop-up menu, select and click “Properties”.
