III-3-1-4. WAN Settings- PPTP
Select “PPTP” if your ISP is providing you Internet access via PPTP
(Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol).
Click “Network”, select “WAN”, then select Connection Type “PPTP”. Enter the
PPTP Server, User name, Password, Address Mode and MTU. Finally, click
“Save” to confirm.
PPTP Server
Input the PPTP gateway assigned by your ISP here.
User Name
Input the user name assigned by your ISP here.
Password
Input the password assigned by your ISP here.
MTU
Enter the maximum transmission unit (MTU) value
of your network connection. The default value is
1400.
Connection Type
Specify a connection type:
Static IP mode, Dynamic IP (DHCP), PPPOE, L2TP or
PPTP
Address Mode
Specify the dynamic or static address mode
MPPE
MPPE provides data security for the PPTP
connection that is between the VPN client and the
VPN server.
