802.11r Fast
Roaming
When your device roams from one AP to another on the
same network, 802.11r uses a feature called Fast Basic
Service Set Transition (FT) to authenticate more quickly. FT
works with both preshared key (PSK) and 802.1X
authentication methods.
WPA Type
Select from WPA/WPA2 Mixed Mode-PSK, WPA2 or WPA
only. WPA2 is safer than WPA, but is not supported by all
wireless clients. Please make sure your wireless client
supports your selection.
Encryption
Select “TKIP/AES Mixed Mode” or “AES” encryption type.
Key Renewal
Interval
Specify a frequency for key renewal in minutes.
Pre-Shared
Key Type
Choose from “Passphrase” (8 – 63 alphanumeric characters)
or “Hex” (up to 64 characters from 0-9, a-f and A-F).
Pre-Shared
Key
Please enter a security key/password according to the
format you selected above.
