Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. I can’t see the login page after entering http://edimaxext.setup in the browser, what can I do?

A: To correct the situation, please try any of the following methods:

- Try and make sure your computer is connected to the RE11S wireless network.

- Try and make sure your computer is configured as “Obtain an IP Address Automatically” and

“Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically”.

2. I can’t access RE11S anymore. I think I’ve entered a wrong passphrase or security key on RE11S

during the setup process (My router security is WEP). What can I do?

A: Since RE11S cannot check WEP passphrase, if a wrong passphrase is entered, your wireless device

would not be able to obtain the correct IP address from the RE11S. Please factory reset the RE11S and

go through setup again.

3. How do I reset the RE11S to its factory default setting?

A: Please press and hold the WPS button over 10 seconds until the power LED starts flashing slowly.

4. What can I do if I have forgotten my login password?

A: There is no way to re-obtain the login password, please reset the RE11S to its factory default setting

and go through setup again.

5. What is the default web login username and password?

A: The default web login username is “admin” and password is “1234”.

6. What can I do if I have forgotten my wireless password?

A: The factory default wireless network name and security is printed on the label of the extender, if the

password has been changed, please connect your computer to the RE11S using an Ethernet cable and

follow the steps below:

1. Please enter http://edimaxext.setup and login with the username and password.

2. For 2.4G wireless, Go to 2.4GHz Wireless > Basic Setting to retrieve or reset your wireless

password.

For 5G wireless, Go to 5GHz Wireless > Basic Setting to retrieve or reset your wireless password.
