Installatie 1. Steek de voedingsadapter in de 12V DC voedingspoort van het apparaat en steek het andere uiteinde in het stopcontact. 2. Controleer of de 'power' LED is ingeschakeld. 3. Gebruik een Wi-Fi-apparaat (bijv. een computer, tablet of smartphone) om een Wi-Fi-netwerk met het SSID “edimax.setup**” of “edimax.setup5G**” en maak hiermee verbinding.Uw wachtwoord vindt u op uw access key card. iOS 4 of Android 4 of hoger is vereist voor installatie op een smartphone of tablet.
. Open een web browser. Als u niet automatisch naar het “Get Started” scherm geleid wordt, voert u deze URL in http://edimax.setup en klikt u op “Get Started” om het set-up proces te starten. Als u geen toegang krijgt tot http://edimax.setup, controleer dan of uw computer een dynamisch IP-adres gebruikt. Dit is een simpele procedure en de stap-voor-stap instructies kunt u vinden in de gebruikershandleiding. 5. Kies of u de RG21S in de standaard Wi-Fi routermodus of als access pint wilt gebruiken.
Wi-Fi Routermodus Access Point modus Het apparaat maakt verbinding met uw modem en geeft 2.4GHz en/of 5GHz internettoegang (draadloos en vast) voor uw netwerkapparaten. Het apparaat maakt verbinding met een bestaande router via Ethernet en biedt 2.4GHz en/of 5GHz internettoegang (draadloos en vast) voor uw netwerkapparaten. 6. Volg de instructies op het scherm om de set-up te voltooien. Kijk in de gebruikershandleiding als u meer hulp nodig hebt.
Wi-Fi roaming Uw RG21S ondersteunt Wi-Fi roaming. Dit betekent dat als u meer dan één Wi-Fi product heeft dat roaming ondersteunt (zoals een router, access point, extender), dat uw Wi-Fi apparaten (smartphones, tablets etc.) automatisch verbinding maken met het beste beschikbare signaal als u deze beweegt in uw huis. Om een andere EDIMAX Wi-Fi roaming range extender in te stellen, verwijzen wij u naar de bijgesloten documentatie voor instructies.
Browser-based configuratie-interface Na de set-up kunt u inloggen op http://edimax.setup en hier de instellingen configureren of wijzigen, zoals VPN-server en Wi-Fi instellingen. Voer http://edimax.setup in op de adresbalk van een webbrowser op een netwerkapparaat dat verbonden is met de RG21S. Als u geen toegang krijgt tot edimax.setup, sluit dan de RG21S aan op een computer met gebruik van een ethernetkabel en probeer het opnieuw.

Veelgestelde vragen 1. Hoe kan ik een VPN-server opzetten? (alleen in router modus) a. Een VPN-server kan worden gebruikt voor externe toegang tot uw netwerk of voor extra beveiliging en privacy. Login op http://edimax.setup en ga naar Internet VPN om de server in te stellen en kijk in de handleiding voor verdere instructies. Router Log-in Voer deze URL in op een webbrowser om iQ Setup uit te voeren of geavanceerde instellingen te configureren. U moet verbonden zijn met het apparaat via Wi-Fi of Ethernetkabel. Gebruikersnaam/wachtwoord Dit is de standaard gebruikersnaam en wachtwoord om toegang te krijgen tot de browser-based configuratie-interface als u naar de "Router Log-in" URL (hierboven). Wi-Fi netwerknaam Dit is de standaard Wi-Fi netwerknaam voor het apparaat.
6. Werken de WAN en LAN poorten hetzelfde als het apparaat in een andere modus is? Nee, de WAN-en LAN-poort fungeren licht verschillend afhankelijk van de modus waarin het apparaat actief is. a.
