3.1 Before Starting
Enter your EFAS login before starting. You may be asked to
complete all your activities since the last card withdrawal.
Note
If the special condition OUT of scope (digital tachograph not
required) is active, the condition is automatically switched off
after the driver card is withdrawn.
Before Starting
1. Turn on the ignition.
2. Insert your driver card into the le
ft-hand slot (with chip
side up). Your card will be read. 
Your name will be displayed and the read operation is
contin
ued.
The display shows the date and the time (UTC) of
your last card withdrawal.
The display shows the question Complete
Activities?

3. If you do not want to complete your activities, select
NO with the cursor keys and press OK.

If you want to complete your activiti
es, follow the
instructions in the section "Continuing a Shift" on
page 29.
4. Use the cursor keys  and to
select the country
where your working day begins. Press OK. The list of
country codes is shown in the section "Nation &
Region Codes, Time Zones" on page 119. When se-
lecting Spain, the region must also be selected.
The last four selected countries are always displayed
at
the start of the list.
The data is written to your driver card.
5. The card insertion procedure is completed when the
corresponding card symbol stops flashing. If it is
flashing, the card is not yet available for the digital
