3.20 Remote Data Download (EFAS option)
When a RDD
®
device (Remote Data Download) is con-
nected to EFAS, the following functions are available:
• Initiate transfer of driver card data (over the air) to the
com
pany server
• Remote Data Transmission of data stored in the mass
memory
• Check the status of the data transfer

3.20.1 Remote Data Download of Driver Card Data
In order to secure your driver card data, you can transfer
the data to your company´s server.
This function is only available, when the EFAS is connected
to the RDD
®
(Remote Data Download).
Note
The initiation of transfer of driver card data via RDD
®
is only per-
mitted when the vehicle is stationary.
1. Insert your driver card in one of the two card reader
slots.
2. Press OK.
The main menu is displayed.
3. Choose 
Remote transm.→ send card data.
4. If there´s a driver card in each of th
e card reader slots,
you have to choose which card has to be used for
data transmission.
5. If the transmission of data to the co
mpany server
from a previous order has not yet begun, the driver
has the possibility to replace the previous order with
the newer order. If the previous order is to be deleted,
use the cursor keys to choose
YES and press OK.
Finally the data is read from the card and is stored in
th
e EFAS until the company server fetches this data. 


