6 Operation of EFAS – Controlling Bodies
This section describes the operation of digital tachograph
EFAS for representatives of controlling bodies.
Before reading this section, familiarise yourself with the
general information in the section "Introduction" on page 6
and the displays and controls in the section "Display and
Controls" on page 14. For an overview of all EFAS mes-
sages, see the section "Messages" on page 76 and for an
overview of the menu structure the section "Menu Struc-
ture" on page 112.

The control card is used to display, print and download all
information that is stored in the digital tachograph, on a
driver card or on a workshop card.
6.1 Inserting the Control Card
Your control card enables you to identify yourself on the dig-
ital tachograph.
Inserting the Control Card
1. Turn on the ignition.
2. Make sure that no card is inserted or only one driver
card.
3. Insert your control card into one
of the empty slots.
The card data is read and the name that is stored on
the card is
displayed.
6.2 Displaying Data
This section describes how to display the data that is stored
in the digital tachograph and on the tachograph cards.
You may display the following data:
Daily reports from driver card
Daily reports from the digital tachograph
Events and faults stored on the driver card
Events and faults stored in the digital tachograph
Speeding
Technical data
Speed profile (optional)
Engine speed profile (optional)
